Job Summary
LPN for BHUCC Nurse role in the Youth and Family Tree program. Responsibilities include assisting with crisis interventions and medical emergencies, following CIWA protocol for detox cases, triaging referrals, completing intake/assessments, obtaining urine drug screens, BAL, and pregnancy tests, updating MAR and nursing charts, coordinating with prescribers, and participating in treatment team meetings. Responsibilities also cover admission processes, medication administration, charting in the electronic medical record, and coordinating with Emergency Departments, Mobile Crisis, and Walk-in Center. Requires LPN license in Tennessee, CPR certification, and experience in psychiatric/detox care; 12‐hour shifts with rotating weekends/holidays; aim to provide compassionate nursing care while maintaining client confidentiality and safety.
Required Qualifications
- LPN with current Tennessee license
- CPR certification or willingness to become certified
- Experience in psychiatric and alcohol/drug treatment settings preferred
- Knowledge of psychiatric and detox medications, diagnoses, treatment modalities and interventions
- Experience with individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Co-Occurring Disorders preferred
- Experience in crisis settings preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 250 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Schedule: 12 hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays
- CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided)
- Certified in verbal de-escalation techniques
