Job Summary
Conduct electro-mechanical operational, preventative, and emergency maintenance on Baggage Handling Systems across three airport levels. Inspect curbside hardware, belts, motors, and carousels while performing basic preventative tasks like cleaning conveyors and removing debris. Diagnose equipment failures, clear jams safely, and adjust components including bearings, motors, and belts. Handle E-Calls from the control center, write detailed work orders, and communicate effectively with senior staff. Follow all safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and maintain a presentable uniform with valid badge. Report deficiencies and complete paperwork with accurate asset locations and part numbers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Educational Development (GED)
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to read and interpret repair manuals and basic mechanical schematics
- Must have at least 2(+) years of mechanical work experience
- Must have at least 1(+) year of basic electrical and/or electronic systems work experience
- Must be able to work as scheduled (this is a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week operation)
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen
- Must be able to successfully pass a driver's license check
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
- Must be able to successfully pass required federal fingerprinting
- Must be able to successfully pass security threat assessment
- Must be able to successfully pass airport security badging
