Job Summary
Conduct electro-mechanical operational, preventative, and emergency maintenance on Baggage Handling Systems. Perform basic and advanced repairs including cleaning conveyors, clearing jams, replacing components like motors and belts, and troubleshooting electrical systems using PLCs and wiring schematics. Monitor system operations, diagnose failures, and execute repair plans while adhering to Lock Out Tag Out procedures and safety policies. Handle E-Calls from the control center, create correctives, and maintain detailed work orders. Operate general tools and troubleshooting devices across curbside and ticket counter areas. This 24/7, seven-day-a-week role requires flexibility in shift assignments and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Development (GED)
- Must be able to read and interpret repair manuals and basic mechanical schematics
- Must have at least 3(+) years of mechanical work experience
- Must have at least 3(+) years of basic electrical and/or electronic systems work experience with 120V, 480V, and 24V
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to undergo a 10-year background check and obtain/maintain security clearance
- Must possess a valid drivers' license (with a clean driving record)
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen
- Must be able to undergo a driver's license check
- Must undergo required federal fingerprinting
- Must undergo security threat assessment
- Must obtain airport security badging
- Must be able to work as scheduled (24-hour, seven-day-a-week operation)
- Must be flexible in terms of prospective shift assignments
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day
- Must be able to frequently lift/move items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

- Proper use of Ammeter Basic PLC and I/O knowledge
- Able to read and completely understand wiring schematics
- Attitude of willingness to learn
