Job Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring patient behaviors and vital signs, and documenting patient care data. This role involves leading group activities, communicating with professional staff regarding patient care, and participating in compliance activities. Required skills include effective communication, leadership, and critical thinking. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with Basic Life Support certification and clearance checks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
- Strong leadership ability
- Good organizational skills
- Independent and critical thinking skills
- Sound judgment
- Knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice
- Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
- Behavioral management Group leader
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a Nurse Aide or comparable program (such as EMT, Medical Assistant, nursing student with at least one semester of clinical or prior experience in related field)
- Computer skills
- Phlebotomy
- EKG experience
