Job Summary
Coordinate nursing care in the BH ED unit as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator PRN, directing and evaluating patient-centered care during assigned shifts. Partner with management to ensure efficient throughput, staff development, and quality outcomes; participate in admissions/discharges; monitor care quality; promote teamwork; support patient-first initiatives; influence staffing decisions and training, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed; oversee inventory and supplies. Requires RN licensure with related certifications (e.g., ACLS/BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) and typically 3+ years of experience in acute care settings; advanced cardiac life support or a Bachelor's degree or work experience in lieu of degree may be required within specified timeframes. Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville/Western North Carolina area.
Required Qualifications
- RN Licensure
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 1 year
- NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days
- Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year
- ACLS or Bachelor's Degree or work experience in lieu of degree within 90 days
- BLS within 30 days
- PALS within 90 days
- 3 years experience required
