Job Summary
BEV Workshop Supervisor in Lively, Ontario responsible for supervising workshop personnel to ensure work orders and shop jobs meet quality and safety standards. Oversees assignments, prioritizes technical work, responds to customer inquiries on status, coaches and leads team members, manages scheduling and attendance, monitors job costs, and ensures adherence to company policies. Requires technical electrical certification or diploma, 5+ years in related equipment, and prior supervisory experience; Lean manufacturing/5S knowledge and schematics literacy are assets. Office location is in Ontario with shift-work as needed; candidate should demonstrate mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills. Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or Red Seal Electrical certification is required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with related industry equipment
- Success in a previous similar supervisory role
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience with Sandvik equipment would be an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S considered an asset
- Ability to read/comprehend related schematics
- Ability to lead a team to achieve required targets
- Willingness and ability to work shift work as required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes in relation to product rebuild
- Proficiency in computer applications and software related to workshop management
