Job Summary
Greet customers at the deli counter, provide product information, and take orders for sliced meats, cheeses, and deli items. Rotate inventory using a first-in, first-out method and slice, weigh, and package products according to customer preferences and store policies. Maintain cleanliness in prep and service areas while adhering to food safety standards, removing non-compliant items and disposing of them per policy. Communicate with management regarding inventory levels and address customer concerns. Ensure accurate pricing and labeling, update price tags as needed, and perform other duties assigned by leadership. This part-time role requires flexibility for weekday evenings and holidays, including Sunday shifts, with a preference for Sunday work.
Required Qualifications
- Flexibility to work weekdays evenings and holidays - Sunday preferred
- 25 hours a week part-time position
- May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs
- standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift
- frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head
- Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily
- working in various temperature-controlled environments
- the ability to operate required material handling equipment
