Job Summary
Bethlehem YMCA is hiring for summer camp positions including Camp Counselors, Camp Unit Leaders, and Camp Specialty Instructors. Camp Counselors assist camp leadership and must be at least 16 years old with previous childcare experience. Camp Unit Leaders manage a group of campers and require experience in childcare and must be 18 years or older. Camp Specialty Instructors facilitate activities like archery and low ropes, also requiring prior experience with children and the age requirement. All positions require CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hiring.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age for Camp Counselor positions
- Must be 18 years of age for Camp Unit Leader and Camp Specialty Instructor positions
- Previous experience working with children preferably in a day camp setting for Camp Counselor
- Previous experience working with children in camping, recreation, teaching, childcare or physical education for Camp Unit Leader and Camp Specialty Instructor
- NYS Working Papers for candidates under 18 years old
