Job Summary
Maintenance Technician (Full Time) at Bethlehem YMCA, based in Delmar, NY, responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks, reading and interpreting manuals and procedures, managing and responding to maintenance requests, and upholding equipment upkeep. Preferred candidate will have 3-5 years of maintenance experience, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and may hold Certified Pool Operator certification. On-site role with 35-40 hours per week; benefits include YMCA membership, health/dental, PTO and more. Training on onboarding, harassment prevention, ALICE, and Bloodborne Pathogens will be completed within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years prior experience in maintenance and repair work
- Certified Pool Operator certification preferred
- Excellent human relation skills and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Ability to manage and perform maintenance requests
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
