Job Summary
Perform personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, and meal preparation. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments while performing light housekeeping tasks. Provide patient-specific activities such as hospice supportive care, medication reminders, range of motion exercises, and incontinence care for bed-bound patients. Utilize lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts. Requires experience with Hoyer lifts, personal care, range of motion exercises, and light cleaning. Offers flexible scheduling, weekend shift differentials, weekly pay, and health insurance for full-time equivalent roles.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living
- Ability to perform light housekeeping activities
- Ability to perform patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home staff
- Ability to use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
- Ability to provide hospice supportive care
- Ability to provide medication reminders
- Ability to assist with the prescribed range of motion exercises
- Ability to care of bed-bound patients
- Ability to accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
- Ability to prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Ability to assist the patient with personal hygiene
- Ability to assist with ambulation/transfers
- Ability to assist with dressing
