Job Summary
DevOps Engineer for Sponsor applications in AWS cloud responsible for ensuring development modifications comply with security and architectural policies; manage life cycle of developed systems with OS upgrades, patches, and security scans; define and communicate risks and mitigations; document and maintain code/workflows (Git, issue tracking); support cloud provisioning and architecture discussions; implement changes to applications and data pipelines per Sponsor requirements; assist product owner with requirements assessment, risk mitigation, and program issue resolution; build and maintain automated test environments in AWS (e.g., Selenium); collaborate with stakeholders to record user stories and track actions to meet deadlines; stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices; ensure compliance with Sponsor A&A processes and provide development support for software to implement system-level requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active Poly clearance
- Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman)
- Scripting proficiency (Bash and Python)
- Experience with databases ( PostgreSQL, MySQL ) including management tasks
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate to technical solutions
- Ability to implement and manage security requirements and A&A processes
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus/Alertmanager, CloudWatch)
- Experience with Git-based workflows and version control
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data lakehouse concepts
- Knowledge of SDLC management and software development lifecycle governance
