Job Summary
Oversee daily operations for Buddy's Place, a bereavement program offering family-based support groups to grieving children, teens, and their families. Collaborate with staff to develop innovative programs congruent with the mission, manage a volunteer team through recruitment, training, and assignment, and coordinate registration via phone intake and paperwork. Facilitate 8-week sessions and monthly gatherings for ages four to eighteen, attend weekly evening support groups, and conduct strategic meetings to expand community reach. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards while providing in-service trainings for staff and volunteers. Submit programming reports to stakeholders and create evaluations to refine services and support grant opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or related field
- minimum of 2 years experience in the bereavement service area
- Prior program coordination experience
- experience managing volunteers
- Training facilitation and presentation experience
- Ability to work as part of a team
- collaborate with consumers, referral sources, and other community providers
