Job Summary
Manage the bereavement program to effectively meet the bereavement needs of patients and families through strategic planning, coordination of services, and staff and volunteer bereavement training. Schedule and facilitate meetings with psychosocial staff to coordinate service delivery, oversee all bereavement group activities, and organize annual memorial services in one or more locations. Provide grief education and training to staff and volunteers while assisting the interdisciplinary team with consultation on bereavement issues. Requires a Master's degree in counseling, grief counseling, social work, ministry, or pastoral care, plus five years of clinical experience. Salary range is $57,990.40 to $96,595.20 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must meet State and Federal qualifications for providing bereavement services.
- Reliable transportation with proper license and insurance coverage for drives and passengers.
Desired Qualifications
- Five years experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Experience and skill in dealing with the psychological dynamics associated with illness, loss and death.
- Experience and skill in organizing, staffing, and facilitating a variety of bereavement groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
- Product and marketing knowledge preferred.
- Recruiting experience preferred.
