Bereavement Counselor - (LMSW or LCSW)

Job Summary
Provide one-to-one and group counseling to individuals grieving loss, living with terminal illness, or facing critical incidents. Conduct initial assessments, maintain treatment plans, and document clinical sessions using electronic case files and tracking software. Deliver on-site and follow-up interventions for hospice patients and families, including children and teens, while managing referrals to community resources. Participate in staff meetings, program development, and community presentations to support bereavement services. Provide clinical supervision for MSW interns and offer backup support to the social work team. Work part-time weekday and occasional weekend hours, adhering to bereavement policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- LMSW or LCSW certification through state of Arkansas without restrictions
- Minimum of one year related clinical experience in a hospice, medical or mental health setting
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the areas of life-threatening and chronic illness, grief and loss, individual, family and group counseling
- Demonstrated knowledge of grief modalities, therapeutic interventions, and best-practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, be discerning with information and use good judgment in handling sensitive client or other information
- Strong presentations skills
- knowledge of community referral sources
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
