Job Summary
Bereavement Counselor responsible for planning and implementing interventions to meet needs of families/caregivers for thirteen months post death, providing grief and loss services to hospice and community, developing and updating bereavement plans of care, offering counseling and referral services, supervising volunteers, and delivering educational presentations. Requires MSW with Michigan licensure eligibility and driver’s license; position is full-time at 32 hours/week with no holidays/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Master’s program in social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Current State of Michigan Social Work License (LMSW or LLMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC or LPC)
- Current driver’s license
