Job Summary
Coordinate weekly scheduling and conduct comprehensive initial bereavement risk assessments to implement and update care plans for clients. Deliver community presentations on grief processes, develop support groups and workshops, and provide short-term consultation and referrals as requested. Maintain accurate documentation adhering to AHCA and Joint Commission standards, oversee condolence letters, and manage volunteer follow-ups. Attend interdisciplinary meetings, participate in the A-Vow volunteer program, and perform Crowd Control Manager duties. Work flexible hours including nights and weekends, with on-call rotation and cross-coverage of the Avow Kids department.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Licensed Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited college or university
- 2-3 years related experience
- Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, or Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (valid in the state of Florida) or have completed the Registered Intern Program
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Healthcare Providers
- Crowd Control Manager certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to endure exposure to common household allergens (ie. pets, plants, dust, etc.)
- Must be able to endure exposure to outside weather conditions
- Must be Nicotine Free
- Must complete a screening through the Clearinghouse
