Job Summary
The Activity Leader will care for children in Play & Learn/Kids Adventure, ensuring a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment; foster children’s social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth while modeling YMCA core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility); interact with parents to build trust; lead age-appropriate activities and group experiences; apply behavior management techniques per YMCA guidelines; maintain required certifications within 60-90 days; part-time role on Saturday mornings in Indianapolis, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- understanding of children and their development
- knowledge of age-appropriate activities
- ability to lead group activities
- ability to manage behavior according to YMCA guidelines
- maintain certifications in First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Safety & Risk Management, New Employee Orientation within 60-90 days of employment
