This role as a Benefits Verification Pharmacy Technician involves processing requests for specialty drugs, verifying benefits through major medical and pharmacy benefits, and requires a comprehensive understanding of home infusion therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in home infusion therapy or equivalent clinical exposure
- Experience with Major Medical Insurance
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefits
- Understanding of HCPCs codes
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Prior authorization experience
- Experience with data entry
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat/PDFs
- Experience in specialty pharmacy, call center, insurance, and medical insurance
