Job Summary

Benefits Support Specialist educates long term care facilities about the Provider Partners product and manages engagement in supplemental benefits. Responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert on Provider Partners supplemental benefits, educating eligible consumers about specific benefits, liaising with Provider Partners in a designated territory through group or individual education opportunities, planning and implementing outreach strategies with the sales team, traveling within the assigned territory to assist members with benefit utilization, ensuring member satisfaction, facilitating benefit usage, executing basic administrative duties, maintaining knowledge of plan benefits and changes, and ensuring compliance with policies. Requires strong communication, ability to present to stakeholders, travel within the local territory, telecommuting capability, and the ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years customer service experience or equivalent
  • Ability to travel throughout the designated local territory
  • Ability to communicate complex healthcare information to potential clients
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships to reach business goals
  • Ability to be compassionate while communicating
  • Function independently and responsibly with minimal need for supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities including visiting nursing homes on a regular basis and following up on member inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Ability to track a schedule to keep appointments on time and information pertaining to those appointments in order
  • Understanding of the nursing home environment
  • Ability to work as a telecommuter
  • Reliable, insured transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Computer skills: Windows-based applications

Desired Qualifications
