Benefits Specialist - Workers' Compensation

Job Summary
Manage end-to-end workers' compensation processes, including incident intake, claim filing, and coordination with insurance carriers and adjusters. Assist employees with benefits enrollments, changes, and inquiries while ensuring compliance with plan requirements and federal, state, and local employment laws. Support performance management cycles, track OSHA recordkeeping, and liaise with brokers on claims reviews and cost containment strategies. Act as backup for I9 processing and manage leave processes for ADA and FMLA. Partner with managers on light-duty and return-to-work programs following work-related injuries. This role supports a fast-growing in-home care provider reimagining services for seniors and individuals with disabilities across four states.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of HR experience
- Heavy experience in benefits, leave, and workers' compensation
- Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred)
