Job Summary
The Benefits Specialist II administers day-to-day ASO/PEO benefit programs under ERISA, providing support for technical enrollment, benefit solutions and reporting to ensure efficient benefit administration and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include handling S125, 401(k), group health, life, disability and COBRA/ACA plans; offering independent consultation on eligibility, provisions, and compliance; ensuring accurate benefit deductions and timely enrollment in Prism and carriers; managing open enrollment and life-event enrollments; implementing new benefits for existing clients; supporting benefit plan reconciliation and documentation; training system users on Benefit reports and actions; and collaborating with internal teams to deliver expert service for Xenium HR clients.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (A. A.) or above preferred
- three to five years of benefits experience
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits programs (ACA, ERISA, Section 125, 401k, DOL)
- Benefit system experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and provide guidance to clients
- Proficiency with payroll software, Excel, report writing, project management, and Prism (experience with Prism, ClientSpace, and Monday.com preferred)
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Ability to train users on Benefit-related reports and actions
