Job Summary
Benefits Specialist responsible for administering employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and ancillary plans), processing enrollments, changes, terminations, and maintaining HRIS/benefits records. Serves as primary contact for benefit questions, claims, leave requests, workers' comp, and benefit communications; coordinates annual open enrollment and employee education; ensures compliance with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA. Reconciles benefit invoices, coordinates with Payroll, acts as liaison with carriers/brokers/providers, assists with audits and reporting, and supports onboarding (backup for new employee orientation). Salary range is $30-$35 per hour. Location: Springfield, VT, US. This role is full-time, mid-level, and requires an associate degree with HR experience.
