Job Summary

Benefits & Payroll Specialist supporting Canadian employees, acting as the subject matter expert for payroll and benefits, handling frontline inquiries, administering benefits enrollments and leave-related changes, liaising with carriers and government agencies (CRA, Revenu Québec, Service Canada), translating regulatory documents into employee-facing communications, and partnering with the Canadian HR Generalist and vendors to ensure compliant, efficient operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years in HR operations with a focus on Canadian payroll and benefits administration
  • 2+ years in a centralized HR Help Desk or Shared Services environment
  • Direct experience with CPP/QPP, EI, ROE requirements, and provincial Employment Standards Acts (ESA)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Experience with modern HRIS and Canadian payroll/benefits systems (preferred: Desjardins, Manulife, Workday, ADP)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
