Job Summary
Execute India benefits strategy and delivery for health, risk, retirement, leave, and wellbeing programs while ensuring full compliance with EPF, ESI, gratuity, and the evolving Labor Code. Lead annual renewals, vendor management, and budget planning through cost projections and utilization analysis. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee issues and partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and Global Benefits to maintain a unified Total Rewards approach. Support M&A due diligence, harmonization, and employee communications for acquisitions. Leverage AI tools to improve operational efficiency and stay ahead of regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing employee benefits programs
- significant depth in India statutory and supplemental benefits within the technology sector
- Deep knowledge of India's statutory benefits framework: EPF/EPFO administration, ESI, Payment of Gratuity Act, Maternity Benefit Act, and state-specific labor welfare requirements
- Demonstrated success setting and achieving strategic objectives
- ability to operate as an individual contributor in a global, matrixed organization
- Strong command of benefits accounting and finance
- ability to drive budget planning, cost modeling, and utilization analysis
- Strong customer focus and collaborative mindset
- proven ability influence decision making across senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners
- Proven ability to innovate and improve processes
- expertise in process design, project management, and benefits technology platforms
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Experience managing brokers and vendors
- including contracting, RFPs, and performance evaluations
- Track record of supporting M&A due diligence and integration activities
