Benefits Manager (Retirement and Leaves)

Job Summary
Oversees development and execution of the national benefits strategy for retirement programs (401(k)) and absence management. Coordinates with recordkeepers, TPAs, auditors, legal counsel, payroll, and HRIS on day-to-day operations and escalations; reviews plan documents and compliance materials; assists with committee materials and audit support; develops and executes communication strategies to educate team members; manages and coaches direct reports; performs related duties to support a comprehensive benefits program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or the equivalent combination of education, training, or 10+ years work experience
- Demonstrated influence and partnering skills (with Legal, Procurement, Finance partners, vendor relationships)
- Oral and written communication skills relating to all management levels, vendors and plan participants
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or integration activities
- Experience partnering with TPA’s, recordkeepers, auditors, actuaries, and legal counsel
- Strong working knowledge of Workday
- Experience coordinating with recordkeepers, TPAs, auditors, legal counsel, payroll and HRIS teams
