Job Summary
The Benefits Manager will own end-to-end benefits administration activities including eligibility, enrollments, life events, terminations, and vendor data feeds, and will develop SOPs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability. Responsibilities include overseeing open enrollment, ensuring regulatory compliance (ACA/ERISA/COBRA/HIPAA/FMLA), and partnering with Payroll, HR Ops, and Legal on issues. The role also provides direct supervision of up to one Benefits Administrator, supports vendor coordination, and acts as a primary owner of benefits configuration within HRIS, with emphasis on data integrity and reporting. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities are required, along with experience in benefits operations, program execution, audits, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration or benefits analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. health and welfare and retirement plans.
- Demonstrated experience managing benefits processes, data, and systems.
- Experience mentoring or supervising others in an operational capacity.
