Job Summary

Oversee the administration, compliance, and strategic management of health & welfare benefit programs and leave of absence policies. Collaborate with HR, payroll, legal, and external vendors to deliver competitive offerings, drive process improvements, and maintain regulatory compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit inquiries, resolve complex cases, and partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Drive communication, education, and engagement initiatives to help employees maximize their benefits while ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive benefits administration and people management experience
  • Direct responsibility for health & welfare and leave of absence programs
  • 7 years minimum
  • Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
  • Experience with benefits administration systems and vendor management
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of benefits compliance and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional employee experience
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically
  • Adaptability to changing regulations and organizational needs

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years strongly desired
  • Professional certifications (CEBS, PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
