Job Summary
Benefits & Payroll Coordinator (BPC) at Feeding South Florida is responsible for administering and ensuring compliance of payroll and benefits programs in line with federal/state regulations. Key duties include managing benefit elections (medical/dental/vision, FSA, 403B/401K, COBRA), maintaining accurate HRIS enrollments, responding to benefits inquiries, handling leave requests (FMLA, ADA, etc.), COBRA and 5500 reporting, benefits Open Enrollment, and payroll processing for bi-weekly cycles, time-entry validation, tax and deduction management, W-2/1094-C/1095-C coordination, ACA reporting, and payroll system optimization. The role requires strong accuracy, discretion, integrity, and the ability to work with HRIS, payroll systems (e.g., Paychex, UKG, ADP), Excel pivot tables, and MS 365 tools; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Office-based role with potential occasional travel; requires an Associate degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience, and CPP certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum combined 3-5 years’ work experience in payroll or accounting and benefits.
- Active payroll certification (CPP) preferred.
