Job Summary
Benefits Administrator responsible for administering and analyzing benefit plans (401(k), health/welfare, leaves of absence, voluntary benefits), creating benefits communications content, and serving as the primary resource for employees and managers on benefits matters. Roles include coordinating enrollment and eligibility tracking, processing benefits changes and deductions, COBRA administration liaison, annual enrollment activities, administering leave and workers’ compensation programs, coordinating 401(k) contributions/matching, vendor management, employee communications and education, and supporting HR policy/compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, minimum three years in benefits administration, HRIS experience (UKG preferred), and strong communication and organizational skills. CEBS certification or equivalent is desired; rate range is $65,000–$80,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position involving benefits administration and accounting procedures
- Working knowledge of ERISA laws, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and section 125 plans
- Proven experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests with urgency and a positive, can-do demeanor
- CEBS certification or equivalent desired
