Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service and issue resolution to complex tax questions related to LTD, STD, IDI, Life, LTC, VB and other claim-type benefits; calculate and submit corrections to W-2s, W-2Cs and 1099s, obtaining proper documentation; identify and communicate tax discrepancies and collaborate with management to ensure accurate tax reporting; conduct policyholder audits and support tax withholding and reporting across legacy systems; require strong knowledge of tax laws and the ability to navigate multiple systems and products; Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent education preferred
- Financial background (accounting, finance, tax) work experience required
- Solid knowledge of tax laws and current developments
- Excellent customer service history
- Strong computer skills
- Solid analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to operate with minimal direction and multi task
- Ability to work in a fast paced, compliant-oriented environment
- Strong math and calculator skills
