Job Summary
Execute SNAP and Medicaid case management, application support, and policy trainings for community partners and neighbors. Provide technical assistance, follow up with IDHS to resolve denials or scheduling issues, and maintain caseloads by submitting exemption forms and reporting household changes. Build and maintain relationships with local IDHS offices, system partners, colleges, and agencies to strengthen public benefits outreach capacity. Submit application inquiries, attend stakeholder meetings, and track partner activities for program evaluation. Ensure applications are processed correctly and timely while developing in-depth knowledge of program policies.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience building, maintaining, and strengthening partnership relationships
- Experience working with community organizations in Chicago and/or relevant lived experience
- Experience giving presentations and facilitating trainings
- Experience with public benefit programs and their respective policies and/or application processes
- Must have a car, driver's license and valid insurance
- Hybrid work environment – minimum 3 days in office
- Some travel within the City of Chicago and Cook County suburbs required
