Job Summary
Set up and operate bending machinery to produce precision metal components while interpreting technical drawings and following work instructions. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, tapes, height gauges, and check fixtures, and inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment. Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve issues, maintain a safe work environment compliant with MIOSHA regulations, and follow ISO quality procedures using the 5S process. This full-time, 2nd shift role at Schupan's Covington facility requires physical stamina for lifting up to 25 lbs. and working in a noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office (or similar)
- Prior related experience and/or training
- Prior knowledge of blueprints and precision technical plans
- Reliable work history
- Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to work in an environment where Lockout/Tagout is a standard safety practice
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50+ lbs.
