Benchmark Analytics Manager

Job Summary

Lead projects to optimize, implement, and troubleshoot financial systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and accuracy. Create and execute testing requirements, design standard operating procedures, and provide training to less experienced team members. Evaluate operational journal transactions, apply accounting rules, and guide key finance business processes including monthly accruals, financial close, and cash applications. Incorporate new data into finance systems while maintaining governance standards, and collaborate across the enterprise to scope requests and extract data from various sources. Develop dashboards, automate refreshes, and create ad-hoc self-service reports to meet business intelligence needs. Act as the voice of the finance team, offering concrete feedback on budget planning, forecasting, and reporting while championing appropriate system use to meet accounting standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Business or Accounting Information Systems
  • 5 or more years of experience in finance and/or SQL
  • 4+ years of related work experience
  • Project Management and Tableau or other Reporting Software (Cognos, Crystal Reports, Prism Analytics, Query) experience
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • High level knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to understand IT technical architecture diagrams
  • Knowledge of performing root cause analysis on internal and external data, operation transactions, and standard operating processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunity for improvement
  • Previous experience manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel while prioritizing appropriately
  • Must have experience influencing business leaders and peers about the proper use of standard business process flows and system functionality
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be a good team player and good motivator
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present a professional image
  • Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills
  • Must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products
  • Excited by the prospect of optimizing or re-designing the company's use of our ERP and supporting systems to promote our next generation of products and data initiatives
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Business or Accounting Information Systems preferred
  • 4+ years of related work experience preferred
  • Project Management and Tableau or other Reporting Software (Cognos, Crystal Reports, Prism Analytics, Query) experience preferred
