Job Summary
Benchfitter (Night Shift) in Calgary, AB responsible for fabricating piping systems for compression/processing equipment packages in an industrial fabrication setting. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine layout and configuration; fabricates piping systems for pressure welders; maintains safety and shop organization; aligns with spooling supervisor for isometric spool production; performs flame cutting with bevelled and hand torches; rigging of spools with overhead/jib cranes; adheres to codes and regulations to ensure piping system integrity and performance; KPI focus on pipe fabrication and compliance with quality standards; requires strong problem-solving, blueprint-reading, and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Pipefitter certification or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a bench fitter
- Alberta B-pressure ticket would be considered an asset
- Familiarity with various pipe materials/grades
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to pipefitting/bench fitting/fabrication work
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
