Job Summary
Bench Mechanic performs tear downs, troubleshooting, and repairs of moderate to complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment and systems. Reports to the Cell Leader. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components or systems; potential on-site system modifications including fabrication and assembly; preparing detailed service reports using Microsoft Office and ERP software; professional communication with customers, co-workers, vendors, and subcontractors; overtime as required; completing training and performing other duties as assigned. Requires 18+ years old, 1-5 years mechanic experience, knowledge of hydraulics/electronics, electro-hydraulic schematics, Bosch Rexroth components preferred, AC/DC circuitry, strong IT skills, and strong communication and time-management abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1-5 years of mechanic experience preferred
- Experience with hydraulic and electronic products and systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic components; Bosch Rexroth components preferred
- Ability to interpret electro-hydraulic schematics
- Basic AC/DC circuitry knowledge
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP)
- Strong time management and organization
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments
- Ability to work overtime
- Excellent customer-facing communication
