Job Summary
Bench Lock Technician - Entry Level responsible for repairing and altering locks and lock-related products, cutting keys for altered and pre-cut locks, entering parts through BPM, and assisting with lockshop parts stocking. Works with all levels of the organization to ensure customer satisfaction. Requires basic locks knowledge, electronic/computer aptitude, and the ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds; will drive to provide technical support and may be involved in overtime per labor regulations. Training opportunities and benefits are provided, with emphasis on safety and quality in servicing Truist Safe Deposit Box locks and related tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent military or trade school, preferred, not a requirement.
- Experience: Entry level with mechanical and electronic aptitude.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of basic locks; comprehensive computer aptitude
- Repair / alter Truist Safe Deposit Box locks
- Cut unique keys for altered locks
- Enter SRVs and parts used through BPM
- Cut keys for pre-cut key and duplicate key requests
- Assist with part modifications as needed
- Provide feedback on Lockshop parts stocking levels
- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to properly lift 25 pounds or less frequently, 50 pounds or less occasionally. The highest point of any lift - overhead; the lowest point of any lift - the floor.
- Able to move 25 pounds or less frequently, 50 pounds or less occasionally.
- Able to push/pull objects with moderate effort frequently. Maximum effort occasionally.
- Able to sit/stand continuously, up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to manipulate small objects with close eye-hand and arm-hand coordination for entire shift.
