Job Summary

The Bench Hand role involves the operation of diverse manufacturing support processes, including metal finishing tasks following detailed instructions and the setup of manufacturing equipment such as heat treat ovens and cleaning machines. Responsibilities include inspecting machined parts against engineering blueprints, utilizing various hand tools for assembly and finishing, and maintaining documentation and organization of the work area. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, and the ability to read blueprints and perform basic checks using measuring equipment. Strong organizational and collaborative skills are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • High School or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience manufacturing small precision parts preferred
  • Experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be able to read, understand and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings
  • Familiar with GD&T specifications and capable of performing basic inspections
  • Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and collaborative skills

Additional Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship status required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
