Job Summary
Assist operator in stuffing process and handling raw materials; inspect raw materials and stuffed products before/after stuffing; hang stuffed products (snack sticks, chubs, linked products, summer sausage); load materials into equipment; label/wrap stuffed products prior to smoking; clean stuffing containers and machines; follow GMP/HACCP/SQF guidelines; report food safety/quality issues; stand 8-9 hours, lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally, work in 40°F or colder environments, and overtime during peak production; prefer a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months of manufacturing or food manufacturing experience; communicates with supervisor/QA; maintain safe and quality food products.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma
- Prefer 1-3 months of manufacturing, or food manufacturing experience
- Basic understanding of GMP's, HACCP and SQF guidelines
- Must be able to stand/ walk for 8-9 hours per day
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less
- Must be able to work overtime, during peak production periods
