Bench - Grocery Manager Level V

Supervise and ensure guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained within the grocery department. Achieve budgeted sales, wage percent, and profits while maintaining desired inventory levels to maximize sales and minimize excess. Operate the department according to merchandising guidelines, ensure product quality meets standards, and maintain sanitation and safety throughout the area including the backroom. Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to staff to achieve satisfactory performance standards. Perform product stocking, guest service, and price audits to control shrink and ensure advertised items are available and scanning correctly. Prepare the department for inventory and work with the Store Manager to maintain vendor product conditions. Fill a Department Manager role within 30 miles of home after training, or remain in the bench role until a position opens.
