Job Summary
Supervise and ensure guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the deli department. Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits while maintaining desired inventory levels and product quality standards. Operate the department according to guidelines, ensure sanitation and safety compliance, and provide training and feedback to staff. Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards. Maintain the department's labor budget and scheduling standards, perform PA announcements, and fulfill all other duties assigned by management. This role supports store locations in the Indian Land and Waxhaw areas for Lowes Foods.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Knowledge of deli operations
- Ability to supervise people including training and development
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
- Effective communication, guest service and selling skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser
- Ability to work well with computers
