Bench - Deli Manager Level V

Job Summary
Supervise and maintain guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations within the deli department. Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits while ensuring product quality meets company standards. Maintain inventory levels, sanitation, and safety protocols according to established guidelines. Provide guidance, orientation, and training to staff to achieve satisfactory performance standards. Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary. Manage labor budget and scheduling standards while conducting PA announcements. Work 30 miles from home if a Department Manager role opens; otherwise, remain in bench role.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Knowledge of deli operations
- Ability to supervise people including training and development
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
- Effective communication, guest service and selling skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser
- Ability to work well with computers
