Job Summary
Supervise and ensure guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained within the deli department. Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits while maintaining desired inventory levels and product quality standards. Operate the department according to guidelines, ensuring sanitation and safety compliance. Provide guidance, orientation, and training to deli staff to achieve satisfactory performance standards. Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary. Maintain the department's labor budget and scheduling standards. Conduct PA announcements. This role supports store locations in the Concord, Kannapolis, Mooresville, and Harrisburg areas. Candidates must be able to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally, work well with others, and communicate effectively with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.

- Knowledge of deli operations
- Ability to supervise people including training and development
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
- Effective communication, guest service and selling skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser
- Ability to work well with computers
