Job Summary
Belonging and Well-Being Champion at YMCA responsible for fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment and connecting members to programs, wellness services, and community activities. Combines engagement and health-support duties with membership sales and service to drive growth and retention. Responsibilities include greeting members, building relationships to understand goals, conducting onboarding and wellness consultations, conducting tours and follow-ups, meeting or exceeding sales and retention goals, implementing outreach strategies, supporting health education initiatives, ensuring safety and compliance, and collaborating across departments while upholding the YMCA's Core Values and leadership competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma preferred or Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Business, or related field preferred.
- Specialized Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to inspire others, handle multiple priorities, and work collaboratively across departments; proficiency in Microsoft Office and member management systems.
- Related Experience: 1–2 years of experience in membership sales, customer service, or health and wellness coaching preferred.
- Certifications: Current approved Adult, Child, & Infant CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
