Job Summary
Community Wellbeing Champion at the YMCA focuses on fostering belonging, health, and connection across membership and wellness experiences. Responsibilities include greeting members, building relationships, onboarding new members, wellness consultations, promoting YMCA memberships and services, achieving sales and retention goals, facilitating outreach and programs, ensuring safety and cleanliness, processing memberships and payments, and upholding policies and core values. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and community engagement to advance healthy living and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred or Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Business, or related field preferred.
- Specialized skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to inspire others, handle multiple priorities, and work collaboratively across departments; proficiency in Microsoft Office and member management systems.
- RELATED EXPERIENCE: 1–2 years of experience in membership sales, customer service, or health and wellness coaching preferred.
