Job Summary
Greet and escort guests to rooms, open doors, and assist visitors entering or leaving the property. Inform guests of amenities, services, local areas of interest, and activities while identifying room features such as key usage, mini-bar, and valet laundry. Transport luggage to and from rooms, assist with loading and unloading vehicles, and arrange transportation like taxis or shuttles. Supply directions, communicate parking procedures, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Follow company policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and maintain awareness of undesirable persons on premises. Ensure uniform cleanliness, maintain confidentiality, and comply with quality assurance standards. Perform duties requiring standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving over uneven surfaces.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Must be able to move up and down stairs and/or service ramps
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Must be able to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
