Job Summary
Bellboy at Mercure Istanbul Bakırköy responsible for warmly greeting guests on arrival/departure, assisting with luggage, guiding guests on hotel amenities and local attractions, responding to inquiries with courtesy, and supporting valet and luggage storage. Requires Class B driving license to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. Must maintain security of guest belongings, collaborate with front desk and housekeeping, resolve guest issues professionally, and communicate effectively in Turkish and English. Ideal candidates have strong customer service orientation, good organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a neat professional appearance; shifts must include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of Istanbul attractions and local transportation is highly valued, with multilingual abilities preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills in English and Turkish
- Strong communication abilities (verbal and written) in English and Turkish
- Valid Class B driving license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
- Ability to lift, carry luggage and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
