Job Summary

Greet guests and co-workers with a smile, then position yourself at the Bell desk to provide or arrange luggage assistance during arrivals and departures. Track luggage from the ramp, answer telephone inquiries, and monitor the ALICE system for timely call dispatch. Record all "Fronts" and "Lasts" in ALICE, provide local information and facility details, and organize group baggage handling. Post sundry charges, distribute gratuity worksheets, update logbooks, and review daily reports. Oversee Guest Service staff to ensure adherence to service standards, assist with fire alarms, and report suspicious behavior to security. Maintain professional appearance, apply hotel policies, and prioritize urgent guest requests while managing shift work, weekends, and evenings.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to report suspicious or unusual behavior to supervisor
  • Must be able to assist in fire alarms by fulfilling duties as outlined in the hotel fire response manual
  • Must be able to greet all guests and co-workers with a smile and an appropriate hospitality greeting
  • Must be able to provide or arrange assistance with guest luggage upon arrival, and departure
  • Must be able to track luggage as it arrives up the ramp from the Door Person
  • Must be able to answer the telephone inquiries promptly
  • Must be able to monitor ALICE system to ensure timely dispatch of all guest calls
  • Must be able to track and record all Fronts and Lasts in ALICE
  • Must be able to provide guests with information and answers to questions about Hotel facilities, meeting functions, dining facilities, local transportation alternatives, local visitor and tourist attractions
  • Must be able to maintain communication and favorable working relationships with all fellow employees
  • Must be able to apply policy and procedure as set forth
  • Must be able to oversee and direct Guest Service staff on a shift basis
  • Must be able to organize and expedite handling of group baggage
  • Must be able to post applicable sundry charges to the appropriate accounts and complete daily bellman gratuity distribution worksheets
  • Must be able to record and update relevant recording logbooks
  • Must be able to effectively review all daily reports and utilize information systems
  • Must be able to provide luggage storage for guests in one of our three storage areas
  • Must be able to be aware and acknowledge all our AccorLiveLimitless Members
  • Must be able to maintain strict adherence to all Fairmont and Richey service standards in Bell-person check-in & out policy
  • Must be able to champion outstanding service levels amongst the team

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, English major preferred
