Job Summary
Load and unload luggage carts, organize and deliver luggage for tour groups, and escort guests to rooms while familiarizing them with hotel services. Inspect guest rooms to ensure order and adequate supplies, then check and store luggage with tags. Deliver packages, messages, flowers, and amenities to guestrooms, assist with room changes, and maintain lists of local attractions and transportation guides. Provide information, maps, and directions; answer the console to assist front desk agents; and show guestrooms to emphasize amenities. Ensure the lobby reader board is correct and assist Houseperson with guest requests. Maintain confidentiality and perform other duties as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
