Job Summary

Greet and acknowledge all resort guests, villa owners, residents, and vendors with a professional demeanor, providing quick, responsive customer service. Maintain high-level guest recognition by checking logbooks, emails, and message centers several times daily to track requests and deliveries. Oversee complimentary bicycle use, attend to bell carts for cleanliness and charging, and assist guests with the resort car program. Keep the Bell Desk, front circle, and all areas clean, ensuring water and ice are available at all times. Light the courtyard fireplace at dusk, check croquet equipment, and provide directions or set up GPS for guests. Drop and retrieve mail daily, run errands as needed, and participate in pre-shift meetings regarding arrivals, VIPs, and resort events. Report any problems to the manager on duty and adhere to safety programs and community initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to smile, welcome, and engage the guests, visitors and co-workers in a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times
  • Ability to communicate in English with vendors, guests and staff, to their understanding
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must have good communication skills in order to handle special requests
  • Must have good knowledge of proper telephone manners and etiquette
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in various environments including adverse weather conditions such as cold, rain or heat
  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing
  • Frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property
  • Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity
  • Frequent need to stand for long periods of time
  • Lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
  • Vision requirements: constant need to view small print
  • Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms' reach
  • Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff
  • Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment
  • Wear ear piece at all times during shift

Desired Qualifications

  • Able to work flexible shifts, early morning, late afternoon and evening shifts, as well as availability on weekends and holidays
  • Luxury Hospitality experience
  • Previous experience in other hotel positions
