Job Summary
Behavioral Health Therapist delivers traditional counseling and integrated behavioral health services to patients of all ages within NMHSI’s patient-centered health model, in a team-based primary care setting.Responsibilities include conducting behavioral health screenings and assessments for adults, adolescents, and children; diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy using multiple modalities; short-term behavioral interventions, crisis management, and care coordination; collaboration with medical and dental staff; maintaining updated community resource connections and making referrals; completing timely documentation and billing in the EHR; providing consultation and training on behavioral health topics to primary care and dental staff.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan
- Licensure supervision provided: LLMSW or LLPC considered
- CAADC preferred but not required
- Experience providing behavioral health services in a community-based setting preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity
